Last week, the Alsace’s Sommeliers Society came to visit us for a tasting, an opportunity to highlight our terroirs, our history and our commitment to the environment.

A total of 29 wines dating from 1998 to 2021 were tasted, including a vertical tasting of our 3 Grands Crus (Kastelberg, Wiebelsberg and Moenchberg), highlighting the invariable characteristics that the terroir inscribes in the wine, while revealing the influence of the vintage on its expression.

Indeed, although each vintage leaves its mark, the signature of the terroir remains unchanged.

Our Selection of Noble Rot and Vendanges Tardives has shown how the variation in the stage of maturity of the grapes during the harvest allows us to multiply the styles of wines that we offer, without ever losing the identity of the terroir!

The Sommeliers’ opinion:

« A vertical of Grands Crus, quite an experience », Frédéric Voné

« A clear and unequivocal demonstration of the imprint of the terroir on the wine. Discover the sandstone-clad dancer of Wiebelsberg, the broad and generous Moenchberg and the powerful and smoky Kastelberg « , Clotilde Mengin
